Within my practice, I aim to create a space that is safe and welcoming for people of all races, sexualities, genders, classes, religious backgrounds, neurodiversities and lived experiences. I recognise that due to my background as an autistic queer trans person who is also white, educated, and English-speaking, I have some lived experience of marginalisation, but recognise I am on the lifelong path of unpacking my own privileges, and understanding how I benefit from systems that oppress others. My practice recognises that there are oppressive structures in place that diminish our capacities for integrating our fullest selves, and hopes to make that within closer reach for those that may otherwise feel it is far away for them.

I seek to see how those different from me have experienced oppression and trauma as they have moved through the world, but recognise that I may have blind spots or make unconscious assumptions, for which I aim to be wholly accountable.I am constantly learning, and committed to providing a space that is antiracist, antifascist, anti-ableist, uplifts my queer and trans community, is accessible to those that feel excluded from healing spaces due financial disempowerment, and pays respect to the vast and diverse lineages of astrology, through continual un-learning of the lies I have been taught about the art through the both its historical centering of Europe, and the modern neoliberal lens of modern ‘pop astrology.’

At its most simplified core, astrology is the study of elemental energetics and patterns, and how they directly influence both subtle and not-so-subtle shifts on Earth. Neoliberal astrology tries to tell you how these shifts impact you and only you, but the reality is that all of our suffering and struggles are interconnected. None of us are free until all of us are free, and this belief informs the basis of my practice. There are few left unharmed by the scale of human suffering. When we look to the stars to help us understand the bigger picture of the world’s continuous injustices, we will often see that the planets were warning us of things to come long before they actually happened. This can be frightening to comprehend, but in fact, empowers us to arm ourselves with the knowledge we need to prepare for life on our rapidly changing planet. Astrology is a tool, and tools are power.

We only have so much control over what happens to us, and the world around us. We cannot control the way others respond to their environment either. What we can control is how we choose to respond.Astrology and working with the plants can help you to become more centered within yourself and present with inevitable change, so that you may engage with the realities you find yourself in here and now.Once we begin noticing patterns within our own lives that are causing us to suffer, and actively working to change them, we will inevitably start showing up differently in our communities. Oftentimes, this will ripple outwards to others. This 'community ripple' is what I am interested in nurturing and cultivating through this work, acknowledging that there are systems in place that make this very difficult work for many. I endevour to be a supportive companion on this path for those who chose to walk it together.
